Arx anima is calling out for applications from experienced Lighting and compositing Supervisor
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
Working in a busy creative environment, the successful candidate will work on, high profile, 52x11 minute episode
The ideal candidate has strong technical background in both lighting and comping, he/she is able to define, prototype and communicate to his/her team how to handle complex tasks breaking them into doable pieces and simplifying where possible.
Production proven experience in Nuke, Maya, Houdini and shotgun is a huge plus but not mandatory. In case he/she is not able to work with those tools he/she aims to learn and understand the concept behind them to help tech artists to constantly improve their workflow.
A solid understanding of the whole workflow of an animated project is also taken in high consideration.
The LRC supervisor has to deal with the internal and outsource teams.
Working closely with directors and art director he / she has to provide style guide that clearly represent the ideas behind each episode, providing technical and artistic solution that stay within the limits of the budget and the schedule.
He / she has strong interpersonal and communication skills, is a team player and love to lead his team with a positive / proactive attitude
He / She comes from equivalent kind of productions or is used to work on small to medium teams that usually have a fast turnaround of the projects.
He / She totally understand that is very important to find quick solution to apply just on time but never lose the focus on the long term goal, we are running a show that last in more than an year.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum 2 years experience as supervisor in LRC department or at least 4 years as lead artist
Minimum 4 years experience in node-based compositing and high end lighting software
Excellent artistic skills, with a particular emphasis on real-world lighting/photography
Background in art / photography is a big plus
Knowledge of Houdini / Mantra is a huge plus
Demonstrable ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
Ability to manage priorities, adapt to direction and implement feedback
Good at improvising and problem-solving
Work and cooperate as part of a team
