Hey hey, so a new year have started and so have I on a new project

This is the HP so far tho I have to fix a bunch of stuff like make it more asymmetrical etc

This looks awesome man! The one thing I see right away is how busy his face is compared to the other armored bits and it gets lost in the fleshy parts surrounding it. I think if you softened that area it would read a lot better like in the concept.


Other than that I also noticed how the shell surrounding the head fits around it cleaner and reduces some of the noise created by the tendons.

Been pretty busy with stuff but I gotten a bit more done on this crab, I still need to add maybe a few more details here and there but the HP should be soon done

Awesome crab.

one thing though, and i guess this isn't finished, but the uniformity of the color clashes a bit with the high level of detail imo. It could use more macro level variation, such as vertical gradient (there's a bit of that in the concept) or patterning.

kwyjibo Thanks! and yeah what u see right now is just a super quick polypaint, for like the finished texture for the low poly I am thinking like a mix of these here or something.

I want alot of color into this crab for the final textures
