Hi all. Polybition Studios is a new games company that is starting development on the 9th of January 2017. We are currently looking to fill the role of character artist/animator for a 6 month project. All work will be carried out remotely so, as we are based in London, applications from similar time zones will be given priority.
Position Requirements- Minimum two years of professional experience
- High level of expertise with humanoid modelling, texturing, rigging and animation
- Experience creating models for Unity
- Experience with optimizing models for mobile platforms
- Strong communication skills are essential
Job DescriptionYou will be working with a team of nine to complete the development process. As character artist/animator you will be expected to complete the following tasks:
- Modelling, texturing, rigging of 12 characters
- The creation of approximately 50 unique animations
- A number of clothing sets for each character
All payments for this project will be made throughout the development process at the completion of agreed milestones.

Would you consider an artist and an animator (2 people) rather than a generalist? You will likely get more responses and better work in the end if you got 2 specialists
Unless this 6 months is solely for character assets and not completion of the game go with 2 people instead of 1.
Nemcy, are these characters able to share proportions / share animation. Are they human / humanoid? Is it 50 anims per character, so a total of 600 completely unique animations or is there asset sharing?
In any case good luck finding someone, if you need retargetting across inconsistent proportions I have experience in that also
thanks for replying dude, its interesting to see how others work, I didn't expect that animators rigged by hand from scratch that much but as he said 9 of the characters are identical in proportions which would knock a huge chunk of that off anyway!
