The bake for the wood plank came out looking good. The planer on the other hand is having the same faceted edge issue that other people have been experiencing. I've sub divided the hell out of it to the point where Max warns me it's going to blow up if i keep pushing it. I'll go back through and read up on solutions to this and hopefully get it sorted out.
I finally achieved a smooth curvature bake after many attempts at adjusting the settings and some editing in photoshop. Definitely not the most efficient way to go about this but it works. I'll plug it all into painter and see what I can get out of it.
Here's a quick screen cap of where I am with the texturing. There are a few issues with the wood plank that I need to resolve before I do a final render.
