Does mouse acceleration effect tablet drawing precision?

Probably not, but I mine as well check with someone who may have ran into this before. I can draw well on a sketchbook, but clean linework in photoshop? forget about it. Not sure why since it's basically the exact same thing. I'm running out of things to blame for this difference in quality.

Mouse acceleration does nothing on a tablet, maybe if you have it mapped to mouse mode it might, but why anyone would draw in mouse mode is beyond me.

it's probably just photoshop/brush settings you have. mirrors my experience, i do not find it great for drawing. try a different application? sketchbook pro, krita, etc.

I would suggest trying Krita or Sai as they both have stroke stabilization, if you must use Photoshop and it is important to you to have smooth linework you'll have to get a third party tool like LazyNezumi.

Krita's pixel brush is the most similar to photoshop in terms of how brushes blend and respond.

If you are doing linework Clip Studio Paint is hands down the best app to use. So many vector layer features to take advantage of.

I believe newer versions of PS have improved the stabilization compared to CS6 and older, but like monster said; Clip Paint Studio (aka. Manga Studio) is the best app out there for linework.

I'll try the newer Photoshop. I've seen people do good work in it and I want to see if I can get similar quality. Thanks guys.
