Hi guys, I was wanting to make an RTS game kit for a while, so I came up with this elvish medieval fantasy inspired design. Tiling textures were mostly Substance Designer, the atlases' were hand painted along with the foliage and flora too. I'm calling this done, was fun!
Sure thing, I'll do some wires and breakdown images. BFME2 is such an amazing game and a large inspiration for this, I played the heeeeeeeeell out of that!
I've added some breakdown images and a flythrough to the top post.
Regarding pipeline, it was modeled in Blender. Being art for a top down camera, getting the 'bigger brush strokes' was more important as any form of micro detail would clutter and make it noisy so I found myself pulling it back at times. The stag, rocks and tree branch was sculpted, whilst the normals on the atlases came from nDo. Substance Designer for the terrain materials.
Initially, I spent a while trying to get the colour palette right, so it forms a triad of brown, green with an accent of magenta. Once the foundation of basic architecture and materials was sorted, it got much easier and quicker to make.

Can you show some shaded wireframe screens? always intresting to analyze "HowItLooksLike" from mesh to textured
