Hey everyone just wanted to post a recent project I've been working on in my free time. Its based on a concept by Paloma Otarola.

I'm currently blocking out the rest of the additional assets before I move on to breaking up some of the symmetry in the folds and shoes. Any critique is appreciated!

Concept:

That's nice. The chubiness of his face makes him look a bit younger than the ref I think. He looks 15-17yo in the ref but yours looks more like 12. He also seems a bit taller on the ref but I can be wrong.

Not really important if you're not going for a 100% accurate reproduction though.

Looking good! The likeness is pretty much spot on. My only suggestion is to make him slightly slimmer and taller.

Wanted to show some more progress and fixes I made to the proportions. I also started on his book.

Some more progress on the clothes. Also started the bag for his book.

Another quick shot of the bag with the book in it and a placeholder scroll I'll recreate with an alpha later.

Nearly done with the sculpt and blocked out hair planes. Need to remake his hands and I'll be ready to retop.

This character is really starting to get to a nice level.  I like the readability of the various fabrics and the noise to subtle area differences.

Checking the coverage of the hair using a test alpha. Will continue cleaning up more when I get more final alphas.
