Hi, Ryan here. I am actually new to this form but I wanted to dive in and start mingling around the forums. I got inspired to do some interesting sky studies and I just wanted some general critique on how I can improve this part of my 'concepting' skillset. Thank you for your time!
I think it might help you to study composition a bit. How the eye moves through a piece. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Concept_Fundamentals#Composition This will strengthen your image storytelling skills, and thus make each piece more impactful. Right now, each piece has interesting individual elements, but there's no direction for the eye to follow so they end up being devoid of focus.
Hey Eric! Thank you for your feedback I found it to be very helpful. I am actually doing master studies on composition right now and I think it is helping me get a better grip on the story telling!
