2D Concept Art work: Feedback & Critique most welcome

Hi all,

I am new to polycount, & I am seeking some feedback/critiques on my work.
Little bit about myself, I have been working in the industry for 7-8 years & recently I've decided to become a full time freelance illustrator & concept artist. As it's a very competitive industry, my goal is to hone my skills and to improve further.

Here are some works that I have done recently, feel free to comment and give any feedback(could be painting skills, concepts, etc). Appreciate it

Welcome to Polycount! Nice stuff, man! Your concepts read well, and seem to keep the big picture in mind. Personally, I like that about these and wouldn't really critique these existing concepts unless there is something specific that you feel is missing or are searching for. Congrats on taking the freelance plunge! It can be a bit daunting, but it has its own rewards.

Can't wait to see more art from you!

Really nice sense of scale and atmosphere in these. Would love to see more! Do you just do environments, or characters as well?

@TudorMorris Thank you. I also do characters as well, but lesser. I love doing environment because I like to play around with perspective

That's cool, whatever floats your boat! I'm more comfortable with giving crits on characters as it's more my speciality, so not so sure how helpful I can be for environments. Really solid work though!

Hell yes! These are really well rendered and have a great sense of colour, mood and design (not uprisings considering the level of your environment work). Your muscular anatomy knowledge is clearly there, the only thing I can suggest in terms of improving is some of the proportions are a little off. Your characters would really improve with some gestural figure drawings (wouldn't we all!). Love them though.

@TudorMorris Thanks for the feedback. I agreed that I could have done better with the gesture and proportions, gonna practice more definitely.

I agree with the other posters, there is not much to critique, you're already at high level enough to be able to argue and defend your designs from your point of view.

I like the way you paint and the care you put into the edges.

@miguelnarayan Thanks for the feedback, this gave me some confidence There are times where I felt the quality of my work is lacking, and hence I doubt if I am heading to the right direction or not.
