Curious if anyone has a technique for adding a thick "lip" at the bottom of overlapping tiles on the normal? Good for Spanish barrel tile, shingles and shakes, etc
I can get a good overlap look with the max blend tile generator method but I can't get a good lip to show the depth of the tile without cheesing it. Currently I've been normal combining the same image and ticking one of the identical nodes down a notch with a transform, repeating till the lip is formed, but you end up with "blades" that form the lip and it kinda looks messy. Curious if anyone has a magic "drop shadow" type node that you can use to form a lip.
