Hi Polycount!
I hope I'm posting this correctly, I'm new here!
I'm a student working on building a carousel for my portfolio. It's modeled with 3DS Max and Zbrush and is currently in UE4. I'm hoping for feedback on ways I could improve it.
Right now I'm working on damaging and dirtying up the model and toning down the dust particle. If there's anything else I could do to make this piece better I'm open for suggestions! Thank you very much for your time!
Here is some of my progress so far:

Your carousel is already very nice to me !
The major improvement that could be done in my opinion is the intersection between the central pillar and the wooden platforms of the assets who look very sharp.
Maybe a bit of fake occlusion directly baked on the base color map could resolve it
Here with a soft occlusion quickly painted on photoshop :
If it's not enough, you could either reuse the top red part of your pillar at the bottom of it, or add some dirtiness more particularly on this part !
I hope this is helpful, i'm new here too !
