The combat looks pretty good, try add some camera effects/movement for impact. I dont like the fonts and the UI so much tho. The neon style looks pretty cool, I would try to ride on the matrix wave a bit and put everything green instead of blue, that could really push your game In interest if you market it that way as it seems to have a similar theme. Also have sounds in your video not just music. Your entry scene in the video is also pretty bland environment wise, while some others looked a lot better. Try to make everything that is now like some kind of soft pink/purple/blood to be super intense red for a nice contrast between the blue. The combo bar is pretty lame, check out devil may cry, use a number and have it flash and wobble as you hit and make it way bigger and put more focus on that, that needs to feel amazing.
This is a artist forum, if the visuals are not outstanding it wont get so many comments, that does not mean its not impressive for a solo effort. My game dosnt look amazing visually but it plays very well and thats the most important part, I didnt get so much interest neither, but things evolve over time, if I look at it now over my latest trailer, the trailer footage looks like total crap and it is just 2 months later.

thanks for the feedback man, tinkered with the lighting and stuff, and got a massive performance boost with ue4.14, also decreased the file size down to about 300-ish megabytes. it's nice to be able to play it on epic settings and have everything running lag free. did a few bug fixes too. added more stuff to the level and made it a bit bigger, it's getting there. you have to remember these environments are only really art tests. it's not like I spent ages on them or anything. I could definitely do much better environments now that I know how everything slots together. so keep your eyes peeled for that. hardly gonna give up when I've come so far.
here are some screens from the latest version, edited the above post and updated it to the latest video.
