So I've been trying to model solely with high poly models and try to texture them. (somewhat following Tor Frick's workflow)
I just tried to bake out an AO using the new MTB 3, but this occured.
I didn't send the rays too far, and I didn't get this result before on a cylindrical mesh.
Tried another mesh and this time the squares were dark.
Upon further investigation I have found that padding can effect how large the error is, but even with no padding this still occurs. I'm honestly at a loss here. The image at the bottom is a bake down from a high poly to a low poly and I can't normals to work either.

If you've got the latest version (you don't see the update message when you open the app), this may be something else. In which case, can you send your .tbscene, and your high and low poly meshes to be so I can try to reproduce it?
