Can I use custom cage in Maya?

Hi guys! Maybe someone knows how can I import a custom cage in Maya to transfer map?

Nope, I used to think the envelope cage affected the bake but like it's name suggest it's just for display purposes.

Doesn't setting an object as "envelope" in the Transfer Maps window tell Maya to use it as a cage?  I know if you choose "both" then it makes an envelope for you based on whichever shape has been defined.
