Hi! Great details, but it feels more like a bone or stone with micro details..teeth structure is more smooth and glossy... ie check those monkey fangs cheers,
I was trying to re-create fangs like world of warcraft movie durotan had. http://www.korsgaardscommentary.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/warcraft-movie-durotan.jpg or Gul`dan http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/f/f0/GulDan-Cinematic-Face.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150808063356 i am a bit stuck as trying to find good method to do it . My fried mentioned something about 1) Store MT (morph target ) 2) Polish fang by using Smooth brush 3) Use MorphTargeti Blendi slaider, to get full controll Smooth vs rough surface I have no experience on that and need to test it. It is far from ready and was more like a test render. Before that i tested out this render also: But i was not happy with it. The surface did look different. Purchased reasently also Wacom Intuos Pro M so now it is bit easyer to sculpt. I also noticed that depending what material i use to render the picture i get also drastically changes. Need to learn alot and i dont mind. Investing 40-50 hours per week in to sculpting at the moment. I am shame to say i have worked with ogre teeth now more then 2 weeks. But getting better at it i think / hope. My total experience with zbrush is 1 and half months. Soon 2 months.
What is ur recommendation how to fix it? 1) Store MT (morph target ) 2) Polish fang by using Smooth brush 3) Use MorphTargeti Blendi slaider, to get full controll Smooth vs rough surface or some other method?
Don't obsess about tiny details that wont show up in the final render. Even in that Warcraft screen shot you posted (which is a close up of the face), you can barely make out any detail on the teeth. Generally it's best to look at real world reference along with any art references.
Currently your model looks more like a mix of wood and stone than an actual tooth.
You can do it in both ways..using the blend, layers or with the alternate smoothing method..though use very subtle smooth and do not rush it. And add some extra details after some smoothing is done. Hope that helps!
I was wondering how much will the texturing change the actual object? I noticed that material that you select changes object a lot (details that you see on the white render where my fang looks more like bone-ish, stone-ish wont look like that when u look at the black render that i added. Note! I have not started with texturing and have to learn it this is why i am also confused how much will texturing actually change the object. I will try this may be this will help to fix it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_wKwXwjcZs

I like the texture but I think a bit too rough, which leads the fang to look brittle. I imagine it'd be smoother in it's more used areas.
