Job Description
The CG and Animation Department at Magic Leap, Inc. is currently in search of a FX Artist to join its team of artists in its Fort Lauderdale studio.
The FX Artist must be well versed in all facets of visual effects for full CG. They must be fluent in pre-rendered solutions in Houdini as well as be able to create real time FX in Unity. The ability to work in a team as well as independently are highly desired traits.
Responsibilities
- The eligible candidate should have at least two years of production experience
- Solid knowledge of the computer graphics pipelines
- Ability to take direction well
- Ensure that all work is efficiently organized and up-to-date throughout the production
- Good communication skills are a must
- Interact with the production and creative team in a positive manner
- Ability to create FX in Maya, Houdini and Unity is highly desirable
- Knowledge of real time gaming FX requirements a plus
- A creative problem-solver
- Insatiable desire to deliver awe-inspiring work
- Must be an excellent team player
Qualifications
- Advanced working knowledge of Maya and Houdini. Unity experience a plus
- The ability to do cloth and hair simulations is a huge plus
