Hi people,
So im getting very strange artefacts when using normal maps(tangent space) in vray/maya. Check out the images below and notice the rendering of the vehicle:

(with normal maps)

The strange thing is that the normal maps render fine in the vehicles' own scene file but whenever I import or reference it into another scene the artefacts appear.
This is how it looks in the original file:

Notice the breakup of panels and the glossiness highlight, this is how its actually supposed to react.
Does anyone know what this is and how to deal with it ?
