JOB:

Lead Environment Artist (Full-Time)

QC Games is looking for an experienced lead environment artist. The Lead Environment Artist will manage a small team of in-house artists and external vendors, creating immersive worlds. The ideal candidate has an amazing eye for architecture, nature, vehicles, lighting and materials, understands what it takes to create AAA quality models and textures, and has experience with world building and terrain editors (Unreal Editor preferred).

Qualifications:

·         Strong 3D portfolio showcasing top quality game environment assets

·         World building samples, preferably in Unreal

·         7+ years of industry experience as a game artist

·         3+ years of industry experience as a lead environment artist

·         Expert user of 3DS Max or Maya, Photoshop and ZBrush

·         Demonstrative Substance Designer/Painter and PBR experience

·         Shipped multiple titles

·         Strong understanding of the technical side of environment/world building for games

·         Experience setting up lighting, skyboxes, palettes, color tables, white balance, post process effects

·         Able to do strategic planning, manage and mentor in-house and external art teams

·         Accepts and gives constructive feedback

·         Is a team player, understands the value of a collaborative/ethical working environment

Pluses:

·         Concept skills

·         Art, Architecture, Graphic Design or related degree
