Might be a very simple question with a very simple answer, but I couldn't find one: in Maya, is there a way to manually assign an envelope to your mesh? Before baking, I generate an envelope and occasionally have to unparent it from the LowPoly. Later on I'd like to re-assign this unparented envelope to my LowPoly, but just simply parenting it back doesn't always work.
Let's say I have a cube (LP and HP version). I duplicate the LP, scale it up slightly and then would like to assign this new, scaled up cube to be used as my envelope for the bake. How would I do this? Simple parenting doesn't do the job as in the Node Editor you can see there's more stuff going on between Envelope and LP than just simple parenting.
