3ds Max Cut Tool

Hey everyone, I am still new to Autodesk 3ds Max 2017. While working on a Kukri knife project, I am using the Cut-Tool very often, when cuting polys and snapping on vertices. BUT the tool is totally messed up in my case. It never really snaps to vertices and doesnt cut anything neither, especially when working in the 2D Front View. Do you have any tips for me, I am really desperate by now.

You should try 'Paint connect' tool as this is far way precise ! Starting with ctrl held will snap to vertice while holding shift will snap mid egdge [lot of behaviours are available even double split mode].
