Arnold Render Display Problem

I am having difficulty creating light in maya using Arnold. Should be a simple thing but for some reason my render is pitch black even with skydome in. Weird part is outside the skydome, which is the container box of my scene shown above is properly displayed in the Arnold renderer. Any ideas how to fix this problem? Also I can't resize my skydome.
