1 to 1 image save in Photoshop

I'm currently finishing up a project and am in the process of capturing images. I take these images through photoshop for small tweaks and adding captions and what not.

The problem I'm facing is that when I save the images, they look different from what I'm working on inside Photoshop:

To the left is how it looks inside Photoshop, to the right is how it looks when I save it out. It seems more contrast is added to the saved image.

Currently I save the image with "Save for Web" in Photoshop, preset PNG-24 which I believe is as close to lossless you can get.

Anyone got any idea what's going on?

Okay, I feel kind of stupid now, but I think I know what's going on...

When I posted the image above, I realized the "Original PSD" version actually looks strikingly similar to the actual PSD file, WHEN POSTED ON THE WEB. Makes sense, huh?

To the left is the actual PSD file, middle image is screencap from the original post.

I realised this when actually posting the image online  :D  So yeah, I guess everything is fine.

Dunno if I should delete this thread or keep it up in case someone else gets a dumdum moment like me?

    Haha! Problem solved. :)

You should leave the thread as is. Information and solutions like this are always good to have archived for the next poor sod who ponders this very issue.
