Hey guys!

I was working on one of the concepts from Bi-Monthly Character challenges but time kinda got away from me. Been picking at it here and there. Just thought I'd start posting again and how my progress and get a little feedback.

Let me know what you guys think and I'll take my best to update more this time around.

She is looking stellar so far, the only thing I think might be is that her boots are a tad too large.

The lenght of her legs make her look stunted/dwarf-ish. I think its cos her arms are really long in comparison to her leg length. Think you can make her taller? Or is it intentional

Nuclear Angel I agree and I've been hearing that a lot. Changed the boots a bit when cleaning up. Hopefully looks a bit better!

Looking great! I like the concept but I'm hoping you can bring a lot more life into the portrait than the image has. The concept is a solid start but it feels pretty generic so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

btw is your first name Colton too? I've only met one besides me lol

The proportions both in the sculpt and concept still bother me. The style is good tho

I think Kiyam's paintover looks closer to the concept proportion wise. Looking pretty sharp so far though!

@ slosh / @Kiyamlol Thanks again for the crits / paintover. Here is the adjusted version now. Little warped with the changes but definitely liking it more.

What I was looking at doing was widening the hips to better define that area, bring in the mid section just a bit, lengthen the legs, and shorten the arms just a hair. Finally, lengthen the torso and moved the bust up.

Slowly getting then and thanks again!

Your character is shaping up quite nicely! I would only suggest some small adjustments to the lower legs: in the concept art the boots seem to taper more around the ankles and the pants around the knees are thinner and closer to the skin, without compressing as much. The overall proportions are matching pretty closely the concept art. Keep up the good work!

Not much for this week... Just fixing from all the proportional changes. Details on the chest plate and re-did the chainmail to be a bit bigger and read better. Started detailing a few pieces here and there. Still need to finalize the face/hair, finish the lower body, complete the right shoulder armour and do a final detail pass / look over everything. Then moving onto the sword and sheath most likely after the holidays

Think you really need to adjust the shape of the toe section of the boots if you want to match the concept
