Hey there guys. I am in a super tight deadline crunch and I wanted to know a good fairly quick (few days) workflow for texturing an astronaut character with beaten up armor. This character is to be animated. I am finalizing the Mesh and comfortable with UVing, I am just at a loss to figure out what to do next.
I would hand paint it if I had the time, but the deadline is looming and I want to crank something out in a few days.
I am really liking all the nice PBR style materials I am seeing from apps like Substance Painter and 3d Coat, and there seems to be a million examples of painting these hard surface things, but I haven't one a single one that points me in the right direction and isn't a teaser. I would either use Substance Painter or 3dCoat for this. Think of a chipped armor look like in Iron Man etc.
I would like to bake a PBR material to this UV mapped Animated Character.
Any help (links, tips) would be appreciated.
