Hey guys just a quick question for some guidance. So when it comes to rendering decent foreshortening I always fall short. Now I feel like I can say I know very basic perspective and I am just here asking if anyone here knows any drawing exercises or tasks to do that would particularly improve ones skills with foreshortening. Thank you
Looking forward to what the other people have to say. To get a better result with foreshortening I've read that you can...
• Take a picture of you or someone else doing the pose you want, or video record it from several slightly different angles and use the best frame.
For this image, this artist mentioned that she "used reference for the ear and the legs, as they are really foreshortened (I asked a friend to sit in a similar position, and took a photo)."

• Use an articulated doll or 3D model.

• Practice drawing anatomy from several different angles and rely on visual memory.
The first two basically mean "using reference".
