I'm really no expert, but I'd like to drop in and say this looks really great. I'm curious however about the amount of post processing work on these screenshots. It kinda looks like a lot of the smoke/clouds and a few other things were added afterwards in photoshop? Could you give a breakdown of the different components? Or maybe an "in editor" screenshot?
It's a combination of translucent cloud texture materials in UE4 and some cloud brush Photoshop work, as well as the atmosphere and height fog assets for atmospheric perspective. I'll try to get some breakdown screenshots posted soon.
I love the look of the rock formations/mountains around the Crater shot. Could you post a shot of the node graph of that scene? Really interested to see what you did for those.
Alien Landscape Study rendered in Ue4. Assets took about 1 day apiece to complete. Using allot of Zbrush's array mesh feature to get the fractal shapes.
