Hi guys,
Maya beginner here - came from Blender.
In Blender we have the possibility to focus on a single Vertex/Edge/Face with the comma button of the numblock - even with symmetry on. In Maya I have the problem to focus on a single face to get the rotation of the viewport navigation right, because with symmetry on, both sides are selected and the view is centered now and the rotation axis is completely off.
I could deactivate symmetry and reacitivate it, but this isnt very handy. Is there another way to focus the "right" way?
Best regards,
gestoryscht

To bad this isnt native in maya. For me this is a awesome feature. Thanks for your help - again!
Anyway, I binded the script to a hotkey and after using the combination he jumps into nowhere and the rotation axis is completely off. Hard times switching to maya
Maybe it doesnt work with Maya 2017?
EDIT: Okay, sometimes it works. It depends on the viewing angle and you have to click in the center of a polygon. Not the best solution...
