How can I better manage the shelf in Substance Painter?

Hi, I'm trying to develop my own assets and resources to use within Substance, but I'm incredibly frustrated with the way the shelf is. There seems to be no way to create new tabs within the shelf, or add favorites, so all my assets get lost within the default assets that ship with Substance, which makes it incredibly difficult to find and use my assets. I am aware of the search feature, but I'd prefer having my own little shelf tab for things I want, or at least the ability to pin my favorites to the top of their respective tab.

If there is a way to modify the shelf to get it to work the way I want, please let me know. If there is no current way to do this, I'd like to ask if there is any plan by the devs to allow us to customize the shelf to our preferences in the future?

Very (very) soon. The shelf overhaul is in its QA phase and will be released before the end of the month.

I'm having issues with the shelf system where it refuses to let me remove shelves in the settings menu. I can add shelves, but once added, they can't be removed. Also, it won't let me change which shelf is the default anytime accept when creating a new one from that menu.

Make sure you don't have a project open when trying to add/remove shelf?
