I've seen a few tutorials on making photo scans. But they always end up exporting 1 texture. Is there a way to extract roughness values, or is that something you would need Bitmap2Material for?
Not unless you do some seriously fancy stuff. Bitmap2Material might not be able to give you the results you're after either. I think the best route is to make a base roughness map in Photoshop or B2M (depending on how much you need to select different materials in the texture) and polish it in 3D Coat or Mari as needed. If it's a rough surface like dry rock or wood you might be able to just set the roughness to a high constant value and call it a day.
