EDIT:
It seems that
PureRef and
Kuadro both do the job that refBoard Maker was going to do and they are integrated into the program. I'd say go check them out for a better solution (played with pureRef yesterday and it is more full featured than refBoard as well)
Heyo!
So started working on a little tool to grab all the images in a folder and make a ref board FOR
refBoard as currently you have to do it image by image I guess (buddy of mine asked for it
)
So it's gonna do just what it says on the tin. Select a folder to grab the images from (I'm not going to do sub folders and what not cause I don't feel like doing recursion...unless there's an absolute need for it...please don't make me do it...)
I'll probably add another button to select where the refBoard will be made (or just beside the exe, not sure yet)
SO yeah, new stuff coming hopefully tomorrow? We'll see how much a pain in the ass it will be to actually set the images out and not have them look stupid
Replies
I've had refBoard installed for a long time and apparently so had my friend so guess this is just a quick thing for people still using refBoard
@Swordslayer Does pureRef lay the images out for you? Cause that's the end goal with this little project, Not just importing them.
EDIT: Also seems that it does have auto layout and the guy that requested it missed pureRef haha. Mentioned it to him and now he'sgonna go use that. Thanks @Swordslayer
Is there enough people that would actually continue to use refBoard over pureRef or Kuadro that do a better job than refBoard does? (refBoard was awesome when it came out but new products have new features that it is missing)
best,
pascal
BTW I got idea what would be nice for your LazySave. It would be interesting if your LazySave support also DirectXTex/Texconv for saving DDS through LazySave. I'm not sure about licensing from Microsoft side but it has mainly access throught command line. It could be possible to create another setting dialogue in LazySave for set up commands which will be given to texconv.exe as parameters like compression methods (BC7,DXT5...etc). It could be nice feature for your next LazySave script ;-)
