[Maya] Error - drInit.mel line 1961: Object '' not found. // ?

Does anyone know why this error message is continuously popping up in Maya 2017? Everything was working perfectly fine, then it crashed, and now this message is appears as soon as I open up Maya. It is also appearing after every action I do (click on a mesh, that message appears, click on a mesh again, it appears. I'm not sure how to fix this..

I've never encountered this or have used 2017, nothing concrete, sorry. When I googled that error, I briefly read several threads, and deleting prefs or the entire prefs folder seemed to be the solution. So I'd guess do a little searching yourself, or try deleting or renaming the prefs folder. Did you migrate settings from a previous version?

No I haven't. I did rename and delete the old prefs folder, and reset settings to default within maya, but it still gives me this message. Everything was working perfectly until it crashed and that showed up..

I still have this issue even after uninstalling and reinstalling Maya 2017.. Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this, or what I can do to get rid of it?
