Senior Character Animator - Bangkok
Good evening Polycount Community, we are Digital A.I.R Ltd. studio and we create Mixed and Augmented Reality experiences and games for mobile devices.
We are growing fast and our AR R&D department is looking for a seasoned game character animator to join our office in Bangkok.
You are exceptional at animating the subtle details in body language, action and facial expressions that help bring a character to life. You are confident at creating animations that are both fluid and responsive. You love the challenge of simplifying complexity and delighting users with the unexpected, while defining new paradigms for animated experiences. You are fascinated with future technologies and have a strong passion for gaming and emerging technology. You want to see your work proudly displayed in the real world.
Key responsibilities:
- Animation: Develop and produce character animations
- Delivery: Work closely with Unity programmers to create core mechanics and deliver immersive experiences
- Co- produce and manage animations from outsourced animators
- Create animations for gaming, possibly UI/UX, and any other 2D/2.5dD assets as needed
- Correspond with producers and other project leads on various project issues and deadlines
What you’ll need:
- Nice showreel
- Attention to detail to subtle character movement and emotions
- Experience in realistic and stylized animation style
- Facial animation experience
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communicator who embraces differences in culture and mentality
- Understands that constructive critique and self critique is the key to improvement in an creative environment
- The ability to work in a faced paced and changing environment under pressure
Bonus points for:
- Experience in the commercial/film character animation industry
- Previous experience working in Augmented Reality
- Unity and mecanim
- Practical knowledge of programming languages (C# / Java Script / python, etc.)
- Experience in rigging and applying skin weighting
- Motivated and self-learning 2D animation skills
