Im working on a quick setup and made a few brief videos of a workflow that should let us bridge quickly UDIM supported programs like Mari with any 3d painter or even render package that dont support Udims.i thought it may be of some use to anyone interested in doing something similar.
it works with both Designer and also Painter v1.x and 2.x(with the added posibility of painting over skin meshes layed out over multiple UDIMs without having any seams).
For the moment its based in Houdini, I will post a link to the OTL once I finish tweaking the last bits.
If there is enough interest i may consider to build a Maya/Nuke version at some point.
