Detroit area based Pixo Group is looking for a 3D Artist to create realistic 3D content. PIXO creates engaging technology-fueled experiences for major brands and creative agencies. As a 3D Artist at PIXO you'll create beautiful real-time ready, optimized 3D assets that are detailed and realistic. You should be comfortable building and texturing both hard-surface objects and organic forms. You'll also understand how to build for animation and rendering performance. You'll work with the art team to ensure a high quality and consistent level of work. This contract position reports directly to the Creative Director. On-site is preferred, although remote would be considered.
Qualifications
6-7 years of 3D modeling experience for PC or console games
Expert in creating hard surface and/or organic forms
Expert Knowledge of 3D content creation packages - Maya (Preferred) or 3DSMax
Familiarity with material creation tools (Marmoset, Substance Painter, etc.)
Experience with Game Engine based 3D level construction (Lighting Experience a plus)
Complete understanding of game art production pipelines (high/low poly baking, PBR materials, UV sets, etc)
Experience working with the Unity game engine
A portfolio and work examples showing creative solutions to technical problems is mandatory
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferences
Experience working on AAA game titles.
Experience collaborating within a multi-person studio
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in graphic design, 3D, video game development, or an equivalent amount of applied experience in the industry.

I have worked in high profile games such as Depth (UDK), doing all of the character, weapons, equipments, animations and several environment props.
I've also worked on Element: Space. Doing several of the characters, weapons, environments and even cinematic such as this video, where I was in charge of lighting, rendering and camera mapping the environments.
I´ve also worked on several mobile games such as Gameloft´s Wonder Zoo, Epic, and Pixowl´s Snoopy´s Town Tale.
