Hey polycount! First project I'm posting here. I've been working on a mashup between the Halo Assault Rifle and Gears of War Lancer. Not quite done with the modeling, still lacking some detail, but I think it's at a good stage. Posting around and getting feedback, so C&C welcome!
What? So you can shot and slice enemies in half at the same time?
I really like the concept. It reminded me of the ripper from Dead Space. Can't say why... maybe because of the giant chainsaw hehe
The only thing i can say you can improve, if it is your interest to bake a normal map from the high poly, is that some of the edges are too tight, "sharp", in a way that it will be barely noticed any normal map smoothing if the object is too distant to the viewer.
