Ornatrix HELP!! :(

Hi Everyone

I'm having a problem with my bake, I followed a tutorial on youtube and somehow I am getting these weird artifacts in my bake and just cant figure out what I am doing wrong. If anyone has an answer to why this is happening any help is appreciated

Looks like either unstitched shells or orverlapping shells, maybe both? You should only be baking a single piece of geometry for each uv island unless Ornatrix has an option to handle that. So if that's the case, move the stacks out of 0-1 space before baking.

I will try to move them from the 0-1 space maybe that could be the problem?

If you bake overlapped UVs you will get z-fighting so definitely offset from 0-1.

Starting around 1:20 in that video, he says he has no overlapping IDs, and then assigns a material ID by element. I skipped around, since I don't really know Max. Maybe someone else can chime in, but I'd imagine the next step from there would be to only bake certain matID's to only bake your unique shells.

Yes, max can occlude bake based on MatID similar to S Painter match by mesh name.
