Hand Painted Bush/Leaves Help wanted

Hi everyone,

I'm working on some foliage for a scene, and wondered how i could improve the texture of the leaves used. I don't want them to be too intricate, but i want to improve on them. Maybe they look too soft? Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

You could try adding a fold in the middle of the mesh where the stalk separates the two halves. Also add a gradient from the center stalk to the edges to give it more contrast and shape.
