This is the main project I'm working on at the office, a 2d action rpg set in a medieval slavic fantasy world.
Here I'll be posting character concepts along with their polished versions, some environment props, items and maybe some UI.
I'll start this thread off with a guard and Psoglav, a hostile wolf creature with roots in eastern European folklore. We actually have a male and female version of him.

and what's also pretty cool are those green tiny details on the mule, makes me think about his life outside in the wet so moss strated grow in his furr

I made the original Rusalka during the very early development stages and we were still looking to expand the visuals. This version comes closer to where we want to take the game visually, now.
Another character that I updated is Mr. Bear, a boss, he looked a bit too innocent before. I'm happy with the result, even it's a bit too.... unpleasant?

This is the final version of the enemy and he doesn't have a long spear because that created problems for us.
Since this guy doesn't aim with his spear and he always appears to attack in front, it looked really weird when the player was above or under him, at least during that particular attack animation.

This is the swarmer, he spawns from a pool and chases the player, exploding at close range.
At first we thought of making him look like a spider, but settled for a frog like creature since we wanted him in the swamp level and that seemed to fit, although, a spider would have been nice (R.I.P Hasu, our animator! Haha!)
I will probably try to make something out of the last spider concept, a different enemy, who knows?!
Do you have specific release date already ?
As for the release, I'm sorry to say that we don't have a date at the moment.
