I saw this art for an indie game at PAX west, what was the game again? The art looked great, didn't get a chance to play it.
This wasn't for any game, unless someone else used it without me knowing. Just some personal work for a project that's been tumbling around my brain for years.
This is so incredible! Your painting style is gorgeous.
I have a few suggestions, but they're super nitpicky! They're mostly about the mountains The angles of the mountains are all very similar. I would maybe add more variety in them? They all seem about 90* to like... 110*. I would vary these a little more, just to give some hierarchy among them.
The angles of the mountains match the angles of the manmade structure in the front, which could play to your advantage if that's what you're going for! If you want to push the idea that the structure in the foreground is manmade and not of this world/not natural, you could make the mountains more curvilinear. I'd watch the tangent in the top right corner. It gets the eye caught there with the mountain aligning with it.
I hope some of this is helpful. That's about all I have, but this is really incredible!
@lesliesketch Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I'll make another piece in the same world and apply some of these suggestions. That tangent is really bugging me now! Wish I would have caught it earlier. Thanks for checking out my work!
I really like this kind of style, love this color and shapes so much. Unfortunately, I'm not professional, so I can't provide any useful feedback - for me, it looks perfect
