Hey, I came back from Promised Land Art Festival this week with a megaton of motivation and inspiration, so I figured I should start a sketchbook thread!
I'll be sculpting mainly creature designs in my lunchbreak for the next time since I figured I've been doing way to much realistic stuff lately...
Let me know what you think, comments and critique is much apprechiated!

Is that ZBrush?
Do you render them?
@Generic_Human Yes, I had some reference for inspiration, but it was mostly Ballett dancers in weird poses and cool surfaces for material reference (macro shots of insects for example)...
I tried to come up with cool shapes as a practice, I find two brushes most useful in the early stages of this, the Snakehook and Spiral brushes. Combining these helps me searching for happy accidents till come up with strange shapes that I like
@MonkTiger Yes, its all zBrush and PS compositing! I was really inspired by the latest artwork of Bruno Camara ( https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vw1BO ), that was completely rendered in zBrush, and I wanted to explore what renderpasses I could get from simple screengrabs and how I could composite them in PS.
Let me know what flaws you spot!
sometimes I feel the more I go for "beauty", the less character my sculpt has..
