anybody here familiar with using the curve brushes?

i was trying this tutorial

but now having a issue trying to make the alpha follow the same orientation of the path instead of it going all over the path

Zbrush curves are useful with insert mesh brushes, but with a regular ones.. I`d say forget it. It`s weird and not usable. Do it with lazy mouse or use insert mesh brush (real geometry, not alpha).
