Hey Polycount! I'm a Freelance 3D modeler and generalist. I've been messing with 3D for over 10 years, but I didn't go to college and start working professionally in it until a couple years ago. I'm looking to post my work more frequently online, get feedback, learn, improve and increase my recognition! I'll be posting WIPs in here going forward. Here's some of my recent work.
Thanks Brandon! So far in my portfolio I primarily have high poly stuff for film. I'm pretty satisfied with most of the stuff there, so I'm going to be making a fair amount of game models and the occasional high res environment render for a while. Right now I'm working on this great concept by Baldi Konjin I also just finished a small bug creature from a Carbine concept for Wildstar! model Here's a timelapse of the texture painting: https://youtu.be/V1LaJVF2Ag8
I finished the low poly and wasn't too pleased with the baking results from blender after tweaking the settings several times... then I tried out Knald... WOW! It did it perfectly right off the bat. Love it. I didn't record the first part of modeling unfortunately, but here's the process of the finalization of the hires model and lores retopo, as well as the UV unwrap timelapsed! https://youtu.be/G0faIATdph0
Did some Learning of substance over the weekend and I'll start posting results of that soon for the albedo maps on the door, right now I'm modeling other props in the scene, and I'll be making a small environment piece at the end with all the assets. Here's the time-lapse of the modeling. https://youtu.be/h13vDQE7YiM
