Hey guys, back again being the newbie nightmare that i am :)

so i recently did a quick head concept sculpt and noticed the weakest area were the eyes so i decided to just focus on them in a simple project just for practice

Ive been staring at these for far too long and im going insane something just doesn't look right to me. Any recommendations on whats ruining their life likeness is appreciated :)

Turn on your perspective mode.  They look kinda weird with ortho on.

It's a good start.  I think what you're missing is this slight bevel on the ridge of the eyelids right before they meet the eye, where the eyelashes would extend from.

I would recommend not using a plane, just sculpt a head shape and practice there. The eyes are not planar mapped.

Hi again, yeah i kind of wished id started on a head now instead of a plane because i surprised myself with the quality oh well

Anyway i put some more work in to it and this is what i came up with finally, I'm pretty happy with it

Just for future reference is there a way i could take this planar sculpt and project it onto a head?

(I'm aware the image is humongous i apologise but i really wanted to make sure the detail would show)

Yes there is a way.  Google projection and zbrush into Google and there should be results.  I forget the name oft he brush that is used, though.  Or Projection Master might be waht you need.

Btw, the image is also huge because you're uploading PNGs.  JPGs load faster.
