Universal/Shared nodes/values between substance designer and painter?

Alrighty folks, here is a good, tricky question for ya! Is there any form of shared/universal values/nodes of values, that I can access in substance painter.

Now, what I mean by this is, If i have, lets say, a material and a generator that both have part of their node system that is identical, and those identical nodes have the same exposed parameters with the same names.

When I get them into substance painter, I will inevitably need to change those values to match the current model I am texturing, but in the end I want those values to be changed to be identical to each other.

Currently, all I can do is find the values I want to set for one of them, then take the long, arduous process of copying those values over to the other materials/generators. This gets to be a bigger annoyance the more materials/generators of this type I have to put in the scene.

What I am hoping for is for there to be some node in designer that I can define as a Universal node, and I can expose the parameters of that node, and instead of those parameters being tied to a layer, they would be tied to a project, where any generator or material or whatever that has that same Universal node in it will match itself to have the same values as any other universal node exposed parameters already in the project.

I know this is hoping for a lot, but is there anything like that already in the substance painter/designer? Is there anything I can do that will even kind of match that functionality? Ideally I still want to work in painter since I mostly do stylized stuff, and that requires a lot of paint layers, which as I understand it, designer does not do at all.

The generator would not be attached to the material that I am talking about, it would be on some other material, btw.
