Legit though, and I hope this comes through, thank you guys so much for really keeping the Warhammer flame alive. Honestly, to me, it's one of the few classical fantasy fixtures we have in the entertainment design consciousness, alongside LoTR, Disney, etc.
Cheers guys. Brian, its mainly interchangeable parts such as head, torsos and legs for a lot of the lower ranked units. However, a ton of the characters are completely bespoke (heroes, larger units, etc).
Awesome work! Never really thought about it, but I guess an RTS like Total War requires a ton of character artists. Never seen so many on a project, granted never been on a project so my assumption doesn't even have any basis lol... Seriously great work, I think you guys executed on War Hammer perfectly!
@melli06 - on TW: WH we have had quite a high number at one time - possibly/probably the highest number on any TW game to date. Of course we push quality as much as we can all the time (anyway), but this iteration we have had both amazing IP to work with and a superb team to deliver the goods. Really has been the most diverse, rich and prolific range and volume of character content in a TW game. Sometimes it's hard to remember it's for a strategy game!

That is some really nice work. Characters and environment are amazing with all those little details. It is also a nice variation of building pieces.
Are those separate tiled textures on buildings or one texture with all in it? Also I would love to see some terrain, How you guys build it and integrate meshes into it?
amazing work, really cool!! I need to ask how do you do to blend textures on terrain, I mean, the mesh need to be low poly, high poly?, do you use vertex color to assign different textures to terrain?
These are all just so beautiful! There is so much cool stuff, that it is dizzying. Like when you are in a huge museum and your head just can't take it all.
