Here is the first piece of work going on here, it's a monotone sketch of a waterfall , any tips would be amazing on how i could improve and make the white look more like water just by using black&white Also I would love feedback on what I can do to improve as an artist in general or any critique is appreciated.

Here is a work in progress of what I've done so far, I'm creating a fireplace with a harry potter like theme so you can stand in it and be taken to different places. Only a few bits done at the moment, planning on modeling a bit more before i try to texture it.
