Hello everyone!

I have finally found some time to create my very own sketchbook here  

My Goals 

My main goal is to become a Character Concept Artist, but I also

want to be proficient in environments and full rendered illustrations.

As well as working towards becoming a concept artist, I would love

to create my own comic/visual novel on the side.

This month I am working on doing a series of portraits alongside my usual art studies. All these portraits will be rendered in different styles in a bid to help me explore, expand, and find, my own style. 
Here is my first sketch:

Hey, marcinbydg  thanks for taking time to stop by my sketchbook and crit my latest piece! In terms of lines, I'm actually planning on keeping the line art visible in the final render, that is why there is a lot of line information in the sketch. Between the initial post and now, I've cleaned up the lines a bit for the final image and fixed the pattern and folds on the jumper.

I use Photoshop and have previously dabbled with PaintTool Sai, so layers are something I use for every piece of art I create. Like I stated in the first post, I'm exploring different styles in hopes to expand my knowledge and grow as an artist

This week I was able to finish rendering my portrait of Marina. I have also started creating a sketch for my next portrait study.

inished my portrait study of Kaya Scodelario. Used a different technique for this piece. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I need to be more adventurous with my backgrounds though. Maybe something I'll look into more in my next portrait piece...

Lagertha sketch. Any C&C on this sketch would be greatly appreciated. It was a monumental struggle between the perspective and her features.

These last characters are great, the expressions on the characters are a certain improvement!
I like to finally someone exploring the creative side of things and not just the mechanical side. Good stuff.

Thank you miguelnarayan ! I am definitely enjoying the creative side of my projects; I find learning the fundamentals and mechanics very tedious and depressing at times. I am trying to learn them along the way with my characters, however! There's always something new to learn with each piece you create, haha
