Hi fellow modelers! Today I come around with a question in regards to what you all do with making an atlas to pack your textures into? For whomever it is that actually utilizing these beasts of a bitmap in their work. I had been doing some research on Megatextures with id tech 4 for my work on The Dark Mod, but all the manual creation methods seemed like an utter pain.
I know (vaguely) there are some tools floating around out there but none had really seemed like a full application meant to handle the process completely. Anything from tools to handy tips and methods would be greatly appreciated!
