Perhaps you could try rolling back a couple of driver versions to see if this resolves itself?

I have this issue as well.  I too am running CC and an ATI card.  I finally upgraded from an ancient Sapphire 4870 this past month (note, the issue happened on that card as well) to a new RX 480.

Luckily I have an nvidia system at my disposal so this is merely an impediment, not a blocker (I can export bakes from there to use on my main rig), but maybe this information can help Quixel out:

Issue observed in Suite 2 beta, Suite 2.2.1, and Suite 2.2.2
MSI RX 480 8GB Gaming X (This is, of course, not a workstation card.  It's also so new that there are no older drivers to roll back to.)
Issue occurs in both Windows 10 Pro x64 and Windows 7 Ultimate x64
