Half-way through my challenge, looking for friends online or Montreal

Hello everyone, I have been posting here regularly for about 5 months now. The community has been helpful so far and I think I have done a decent amount of progress in my challenge even though I always feel like I could have done more (here is the link to my challenge: http://polycount.com/discussion/168721/expert-in-a-year-3d-artist/p1).
I think I'm doing everything I can to get better so far, I watched tons of videos, spent even more time practicing, finishing projects, joined multiple group on Facebook and even added very talented artist on my Facebook for C&C when I'm done with a project. There is just one thing missing and I think it is a big one, I don't have anyone at around the same level as me with who I can discuss about what we learn or what we are working on. The community here is great but I think one of the thing that helped me so good at my current job was having friends with who I can compare my work with and be in competition with even though we helped each other.
